A woman wakes up on a beach wrapped in plastic, half naked and wearing high heels. »Not again«, she sighs and decides to find out who is behind it all. She persuades an older woman who has been pushed to the margins of society to accompany her on her revenge campaign. During their journey through classic film landscapes, the two women confront their own desires, generation conflicts and their fragile ideologies.
Anna Paavilainen
Anna Paavilainen (*1983 in Mikkeli, Finnland) arbeitet als Regisseurin, Autorin und Schauspielerin. Ihren Durchbruch als Schauspielerin hatte sie 2011 in Zaida Bergroths Hyvä poika, für die sie für den Jussi (den »finnischen Oscar«) nominiert wurde. Sie studierte an Stockholms Filmskola. Ihre Arbeit Play Rape ist ein Monologstück über die Probleme und Normalisierungen von Vergewaltigungsszenen im finnischen Theater des 21. Jahrhunderts, das von ihr geschrieben, inszeniert und aufgeführt wird.
