Antonia von Smirowski was born in Göttigen in 1980. She studied communication studies and media education in London and Kassel. She began making films in 2002 and has been working as an editor in various TV-productions between 2008 and 2010. Her special interest is the treatment of contemporary social discussions by use of animation. Since 2008, she lives and works in Berlin.
