This video, which blends animation with live-action film, sees dancing poodles take to the stage and follow their trainer’s instructions delivered from above their heads. Its witty and droll imagery like this that makes performance art socially acceptable in pop culture.
Mariola Brillowska
Mariola Brillowska ist bildende, Medien- und Performancekünstlerin sowie Autorin, Regisseurin und Produzentin. Geboren und aufgewachsen in Polen, emigrierte sie mit 20 Jahren nach Deutschland, wo sie an der HFBK Hamburg Freie Kunst studierte. 2005–2013 war sie Kunstprofessorin an der HfG Offenbach. 2013 erschien ihr Roman Hausverbot. Sie gewann diverse Film-, Poetry- und Hörspielpreise, u. a. den Deutschen Kurzfilmpreis Goldene Lola 2017 und den Preis der deutschen Filmkritik 2019.
