Hye Rim Lee
Since 2001, Lee has developed and refined her animated character TOKI as part of her ongoing TOKI/Cyborg project. TOKI, the Black Rose Queen, floats and spins on the flower ring in the Mushroom Woods, trying to escape her trauma of death and lost love. Now she searches for love and happiness in the diamond rain and plays with the clouds of pearls and marching pink bunnies.
Hye Rim Lee
Hye Rim Lee wurde in Seoul geboren und studierte dort an der Ewha Women’s University. 1985 schloss sie ihr Studium mit einem Bachelor of Music im Hauptfach Gesang ab. 1993 zog Lee nach Neuseeland und machte 2002 an der Elam School of Fine Arts an der Universität von Auckland einen Bachelor of Fine Arts mit Schwerpunkt Intermedia. Sie ist vor allem für ihre 3D-Animationen, digitalen Skulpturen und Performance-Plattformen bekannt.
