With girls & boys in history we pay homage to Tatjana Turanskyj and show that we must continue to act, as achieving equality is an ongoing process. In our minds we see her in front of us, laughing heartily and engaged in discussion: »They say: if you don’t show your feelings, you have everything under control. If you get worked up, you’re unprofessional. But that also prevents a lot. For me, however, emotions, discourse and intellectuality are not mutually incompatible.«
Tatjana Turanskyj
Tatjana Turanskyj, Mitbegründerin der Initiative ProQuote Regie, begann im Kollektiv Hangover Ltd. Filme und Performances zu realisieren. 2008 gründete sie mit Jan Ahlrichs die Produktionsfirma turanskyj & ahlrichs. Ihr Regie-Debüt Eine flexible Frau feierte im Forum der Berlinale Premiere. Ihre folgenden zwei Langfilme beschäftigten sich aus feministischer und aktivistischer Perspektive mit der Situation von Frauen in der modernen Arbeitswelt. Nach langer Krankheit starb Turanskyj am 18.09.2021.
