Owls & Mice
Simone van Dusseldorp
»So Peepeep is literally in here?« – »Exactly. Or at least, his bones are.«
Meral has just moved house with her parents. New in town, she has a hard time making new friends. One night the little girl wakes up to find a mouse in her room. The next day, she goes on a school trip with her new friend stowed in her bag. Also present are a funny misfit, a smart boy in a wheelchair, and a bit of a vixen who likes to think she’s in charge. Nevertheless, the gang of youngsters grow closer together. When the mouse is suddenly snatched away by an owl out in the wilds, a dramatic search for their creature companion begins, gradually turning into more of a lesson in life and how nature functions.
