»Every line on your face is a memory« says the young narrator. She herself is living proof of this. But the faces of her fellow human beings also show signs from the past. And so do those of her own family. Can we really choose who we are, or is our identity merely a collage of the people we meet by chance?
Gülce Besen Dilek
Gülce Besen Dilek (1996) is a director and conceptual artist who lives in Germany. She was born and brought up in Istanbul. At the age of 15, she moved to Austria where she attended secondary school. Besen then relocated to Germany and studied animation at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. Kolaj is her graduation film.
