Three trans women talk about what it means to be a trans woman in Costa Rica. Sarita Bonilla Barahona uses animation to explore the complexity of these experiences. The film images create a protective space for the exploration of painful experiences and moments of shame and enable an emotional participation that opens up new worlds of experience for documentary content.
