Lively, brightly clad, imaginative Elisa has a crush on Martin – but he doesn’t seem to notice her. Determined to catch his attention, she slowly starts to change – hiding her smile, abandoning her glasses and even giving up singing. With each step, she drifts further away from who she really is – until she realises that changing for someone else is not the answer. The film is a playful yet powerful appeal for self-acceptance, reminding us that we should not let the opinions of others define our worth.
Chelo Loureiro
Chelo Loureiro, geboren 1958, ist eine spanische Produzentin und Regisseurin, spezialisiert auf Animationsfilme. Sie gründete 2007 die Produktionsfirma Abano Producións und gewann vier Goya-Preise, einen davon für ihren Film Valentina (2021). Loureiro setzt sich aktiv für die Förderung von Frauen im Filmbereich ein, lehrt an Universitäten und erhielt 2024 die staatlich verliehene Medalla de Oro al Mérito en las Bellas Artes für ihre Verdienste in der bildenden Kunst.
