The Film All-Nighter

Tania Parovic‘s film Attentate links found footage of documented attacks, whose victims were not necessarily selected as private individuals but on the basis of their symbolic role as a public figure. The film is a series of sequences whose structures resemble one another by addressing aspects such as crime scene, motivation, speculation, media coverage and collective mourning. The serial concatenation has an almost model effect. Attacks that seemingly have nothing to do with one another end up interrelated, leaving an impression of exchangeability.
