Alice Remixed

A collage of texts, illustrations, TV series, comics, computer games, live-action and animated films from the media fundus on Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. While the body and identities of Alice are transformed, duplicated and dissolved multiple times, associative text fragments appear inside the frame: A remix of quotations from Lewis Carroll’s novel and writings by the French philosopher Michel Foucault.

Karin Fisslthaler, born in 1981 in Oberndorf near Salzburg, studied Experimental Design at the Institute of Fine Arts and Cultural Studies in Linz. She works as a visual artist, film-maker and musician and lives in Vienna. Since 2003 Fisslthaler produces and performs electronic music by the name Cherry Sunkist.
