June 1st: Book presentation »Was wir filmten« & screening of »Becoming Black«: arsenal, Berlin

The book is a clear step forward in dealing with filmmaking from an East German perspective between 1990 and today. The texts are valuable counter-memories, because they neither romanticize the past nor allow themselves to be historically simplified.

The anthology contains eyewitness reports, interviews, detailed film analyzes and offers a polyphonic inventory.

The conversation with the director is conducted by Betty Schiel. Filminfo
