Experimental Space for Film and Tarot with Monika Heer

At the Festival Centre we have set up THE 12TH HOUSE: a quiet, experimental space where you can take time out from the crowds at the festival. We’ll be playing tarot together throughout the three days. Allowing chance and fate to decide, we’ll be drawing one film and one tarot card per session.

Accompanied by astrologer Monika Heer, we undertake an open-ended search for connections. Like films, the cards’ images invite us to adopt other perspectives and to see things in new ways. Films that heal, perhaps also because we see them differently in their collective, pleasurable practice in our 12th House.

A place of retreat and reflection with a different connection to time, where nothing has to happen and, as a result of that, this perhaps allows what is essential to come to the fore.

The tarot playing will also play a role at certain screenings during the festival. Sensitive chaos in focus between plants, humans and other creatures. Who draws the cards?
