»Lingui – The Sacred Bonds« at World Views Dortmund
This quiet, powerful film about the ‘sacred bond’ between mother and daughter serves as a metaphor for the country of Chad.
Understanding, openness and coming into contact with people of different nationalities and origins are our motives for the series World Views. Once a month, we show entertaining as well as thoughtful films from different countries to make the prism through which we see the world even more colourful.
People with and without an international history, women with refugee experience, their families and anyone interested in excellent, often rarely shown international films directed by women are warmly invited to the programme.
