»Beyond Silence« at World Views Cologne

A woman sits on a bed and plays the clarinet. She looks at a young girl who is sitting next to her and looks at the woman's playing hands.

A film about the sensuality of language, which lies not only in words and sounds, but also in our bodies and their silence.

This award-winning classic of German film history is cinema for the senses. We are showing the newly restored version.

Guest: Vivien Buchhorn (Film curator IFFF Dortmund+Köln)

Understanding, openness and coming into contact with people of different nationalities and origins are our motives for the series World Views. Once a month, we show entertaining as well as thoughtful films from different countries to make the prism through which we see the world even more colourful.

People with and without an international history, women with refugee experience, their families and anyone interested in excellent, often rarely shown international films directed by women are warmly invited to the programme.

Free admission.

Recommended from 14 years.

The film will be shown in the German original with English subtitles.
