If you missed the cinema tour, you now have another chance—we’re screening The Moelln Letters at World Views Cologne!

1992: Far-right arson attacks on two apartment buildings in Mölln. In the aftermath, countless letters of solidarity were sent, but they never reached the victims and instead disappeared into the archives. İbrahim Arslan and his family engage in dialogue with the authorities, seek contact with the letter writers, and in doing so demonstrate what a culture of remembrance that listens to them might look like.

The Moelln Letters was the opening film of the IFFF Dortmund+Köln 2025 and one of the most successful German documentaries of last year.

We are screening the film in collaboration with the Herkesin Meydanı — Platz für alle initiative.

The initiative was formed in 2019 to advocate for the construction of a memorial on Keupstraße in Cologne. Although this year marks the 22nd anniversary of the nail bomb attack on Keupstraße, there is still no memorial site on the street. Together with survivors, residents, artists, activists, and other initiatives, they are fighting for a survivor-centered remembrance. They are also actively involved in the nationwide networking of survivors of racist violence and advocate for their concerns and demands
