»Art on the MOve« 2022 starts with »The Man who sold his Skin«
Our collaboration Art on the MOve with Museum Ostwall im Dortmunder U continues. As part of this initiative, we are offering exhibition-complementary film series. Visual art and cinema have a lot to say to each other, but there is little opportunity for such a special dialogue. We would like to change that!
This year, you can look forward to three events accompanying the MO_Collection presentation »Body & Soul. Thinking, Feeling, Brushing Your Teeth« (on view through November 13, 2022) and two film programs curated by Betty Schiel to accompany the exhibition »FLOWERS! Flowers in 20th and 21st Century Art« (opening April 30, 2022).
Our colleague at IFFF Dortmund+Köln, Betty Schiel, is a freelance film curator, journalist and filmmaker. She organizes programs, workshops, lectures and conceptualizations, among others for Die Ost-West-AG, Future Now Festival and Transnationales Ensemble Labsa.
To kick off Art on the MOve 2022, we will screen Kaouther Ben Hania’s feature film The Man Who Sold His Skin (TN /FR / BE / SE / DE 2020, 104 min., OmU), which has been the Tunisian participant in our International Feature Film Competition 2021.
April 27 • 5:30 p.m. • Meeting point: Museum Ostwall, level 5 in the Dortmunder U • Admission: 8,- € regular, 6,- reduced • more info about the film
All dates can be found here in the flyer (in German only), which is also available in print at many locations in Dortmund. Have fun at the cinema and enjoy the art!
