Julia Charlotte Richter
A small group of children has set up a temporary camp. Obviously, they are trying to evoke a certain kind of spirit. Camp shows an obscure, ritual scene that culminates in a hypnotic choreography of whispering, humming and moving. The camera eye comes close and reduces the viewer’s distance, who is able to witness the rituals in an emotional and physical way.

Julia Charlotte Richter
Die Videokünstlerin und Filmemacherin Julia Charlotte Richter (*1982 in Gießen) studierte Kunst in Kassel, Portsmouth (UK) und Braunschweig. Ihre Arbeiten wurden in zahlreichen internationalen Screenings und Ausstellungen präsentiert. Seit 2008 erhielt sie diverse Auszeichnungen, wie z.B. ein Arbeitsstipendium der Stiftung Kunstfonds im Jahre 2014. 2017 wurde sie durch eine Projektförderung der Kunststiftung NRW und ein Reisestipendium der Hessischen Kulturstiftung gefördert.
