Talena Sanders’ film is a correspondence through time
with Mary MacLane, a journalist and pioneering film- maker who questioned social norms, the situation of women and sexuality. The film tells MacLane’s story from a modern day perspective through the character of another woman.

Talena Sanders ist eine Filmemacherin und interdisziplinäre Künstlerin, deren Bewegtbild-Arbeiten die Entwicklung von individuellem und kollektivem Identitätsbewusstsein in Bezugsgruppen erforschen. Sie hat einen Master of Fine Arts in experimental and documentary arts von der Duke University sowie einen BFA von der University of Kentucky. Zurzeit ist sie Assistenzprofessorin für Kommunikation und Medienwissenschaft an der Sonoma State University.
