“Vienna Hit” is part of a larger project by Anna Vasof entitled “Hitting my Head on the World”. Hitting one’s head against the wall is a gesture known worldwide, often an expression of despair, hopelessness and frustration. In Anna Vasof’s work, the head becomes an instrument; the repetition of the absurd action creates a rhythm.
