The Wind Carries us Home
Udval Altangerel
»When you feel bad, visit the place where you were born,« we’re told at the beginning of the film. In the endless expanses of the Gobi desert, the film-maker and women from her family gather to perform rituals of birth and death. These enable the different generations to connect with their ancestral land. The female members of the community have a healing power, just like the wind.
