The Galactic Pot Healer

Lost in her beauty routine, Cynthia accidentally breaks a pot. To get it repaired, she seeks out the mysterious character of the title. During a session of massage therapy, the Galactic Pot Healer kneads a new green pot from the flesh of our leading lady. The Galactic Pot Healer is part of Whispering Pines, an ongoing series launched in 2002 which now includes more than ten episodes.
The Dortmund|Cologne International Women’s Film Festival is also pleased to present a new exhibition entitled »to seek out, to explore, to doze, to snooze« as compiled by students of Prof. Moulton’s class at the Münster Academy of Fine Arts.
Shana Moulton
Shana Moulton, born in 1976, works in video, performance, and installation. She holds a BA from UC Berkeley in art and anthropology and an MFA from Carnegie Mellon University. Since 2007, her work has been shown internationally in group exhibitions and solo shows, including at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. It recalls the video aesthetics of the late 1970s and 80s and thematically interweaves consumerism with commercialised spirituality.
