›Super Unit‹ refers to Le Corbusier and his vision of a new style of architecture that was to lead to the term »dwelling machine«. How much space does an individual need? How much is he or she entitled to? Le Corbusier’s goal was to build comfortable, efficient residential units to suit every budget, hundreds of them under one roof, mass produced all over the world.
A gigantic new building in the middle of Katowice is the concrete embodiment of this utopia. But behind every door is … life! The film shows how residents make this hostile environment their home – the »dwelling machine« becomes a living organism.
