Souvenir
Miriam Gossing und Lina Sieckmann
The setting: cruise liners that commute between Rotterdam and Hull, Kiel and Oslo in 36 hours. Off camera, sailors’ widows who have been left behind tell the story of an ancient branch of trade, and of a life determined by water. Mementoes collected at sea illustrate stories about colonialism, love and loss.
