The film, surreal and light-hearted despite its powerful themes, depicts a woman on a quest to discover this truth.

Elisha Smith-Leverock’s work is characterised by their flair for turning the ordinary in fictional and non-fictional work into extraordinary cinematic experiences. As a director and filmmaker, Elisha tackles themes of representation and gender stereotypes with depth and sensitivity. Their documentary Miss Black Germany has garnered numerous awards, including recognition at ASVOF. Schwarze Früchte is Elisha’s first directorial work in TV episode format.
