In 2010, the musician and artiste known as Peaches first staged her »anti-jukebox-musical« Peaches Does Herself at the Hebbel Am Ufer Theater (HAU) in Berlin. This is the film version she developed in 2012.
Spurred on by a 65-year-old stripper, Peaches recreates here her sexually forthright stage persona, comes increasingly into conflict with the expectations of her fans and falls in love with a breath-takingly gorgeous transsexual. A partly autographical story in which Peaches plays with the topics of gender, age and beauty while presenting an awesome electro rock-opera show.
