Anouk De Clercq erforscht das Potenzial audiovisueller Sprache. Sie interessiert sich für das, was hinter der »Realität« oder zwischen dem Sichtbaren und dem Imaginären liegt. Sie erhielt 2005 den Illy-Preis bei der Art Brussels und eine Prix Ars Electronica Honorary Mention 2014. Ihre Arbeiten wurden unter anderem in der Tate Modern und im Centre Pompidou ausgestellt. De Clercq arbeitet als künstlerische Forscherin und ist Gründungsmitglied von Auguste Orts.
