This documentary provides an insight into everyday life in a women’s clinic in France. With a grand gesture that is neither clichéd nor overloaded, Simon spans the dramaturgical arc from birth to death. Enlightening and yet gentle, this film brings to light the ability and suffering from women and their bodies. What has long been (and still is) concealed under the cloak of shame is here met with understanding at eye level.
