Achat is seven years old when her parents send her from the Congo to France and give her up for adoption in Paris. After her adoptive mother dies, a nightmare begins as Achat falls victim to abuse and child trafficking. When she manages to leave France, the odyssey continues. Miles to Go Before I Sleep tells the story of a stolen identity.
Hanna Hovitie
Born in Finland in 1991, Hovitie worked on several Finnish film productions after completing high school. In 2011 she began studying cinematography and editing at the Metropolia University of Applied Sciences in Helsinki. Miles to Go Before I Sleep is her graduation film
