Menses
Barbara Hammer
Never before had cinemas shown films about the unpleasant aspects of menstruation. Barbara Hammer addresses the subject in a blend of drama and comedy in which a group of young women act out different scenarios. A tongue-in-cheek examination of the notion that menstrual blood is something shocking and disgusting, a female rebellion in dark shades of red.
