KwieKulik
Joanna Turowicz, Anna Zakrzewska
Having reached the peak of her career, Zofia Kulik decides to give up work as an artist and join Przemysław Kwiek, her partner and lover, in curating the archives of their various creations. From 1971 to 1987, they had collaborated under the pseudonym of KwieKulik. In the course of their projects and happenings, they as KwieKulik committed themselves to the politicisation of art in Poland. They even involved their son in their political-absurd photo actions. Following their separation, however, they work freelance and exhibit their works separately. Yet despite substantial differences of opinion, they continue to live together on the same property outside Warsaw, if in detached houses.
The film documents these two exceptional artists getting ready for an exhibition and gives the viewer a fascinating and lively look at their œuvre and creative styles.
