Die Künstlerin Kristin Lucas entwickelt Videos, Installationen, Performances und interaktive Web-Projekte. In ihren anekdotischen, performativen Mini-Dramen thematisiert sie die komplexen Beziehungen zwischen Menschen und Automaten sowie die psychologischen Auswirkungen der sich verbreitenden Technologie. 1994 schloss Lucas die Cooper Union School of Art in New York ab und legte mit Between a Rock and a Hard Drive ihr erstes Web-Projekt vor.
