In this multiple projection, found archive material depicting conservative representations of motherhood is juxtaposed with the punk-inspired, angry, razor-sharp short texts of the Writing with Care/Rage collective in such a way that the irreconcilable gap between the ideal and the experience of motherhood is exaggerated and emphasised. The Writing with Care/Rage collective of authors came together in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic and began to rethink and rewrite the »exclusive claim of “either caring or art«.
Composer and sound designer Ella Zwietnig translated the collective’s text FRAGMENT ONE into images and sound on the occasion of the three-day conference of the same name on care work and authorship.
