Lydia Schouten
Lydia Schouten’s wide-ranging creative output is truly interdisciplinary and cross-media. Born 1948 in Leiden, the Netherlands, she studied sculpture in The Hague until 1971 and in Rotterdam until 1978. She subsequently used two art scholarships for long study stays in New York. In 2012, her works were exhibited at the Women’s Biennale in Ferrara, Italy, and at the Inter Media Art Institute in Düsseldorf. Ms Schouten still lives and works in Rotterdam.
