Lydia Schouten
Das umfangreiche künstlerische Schaffen von Lydia Schouten ist disziplin-, gattungs- und medienübergreifend. Die 1948 im niederländischen Leiden geborene Künstlerin studierte bis 1971 Bildende Künste in Den Haag und danach bis 1978 in Rotterdam. Anschließend nutzte sie zwei Kunststipendien für längere Studienaufenthalte in New York. 2012 waren Shoutens Arbeiten unter anderem auf der Frauen Biennale im italienischen Ferrara und im Inter Media Art Institut, Düsseldorf zu sehen. Shouten lebt und arbeitet in Rotterdam.
