Pilots simulate the choreography of an aerobatic flight for the French national holiday. An algorithmic police training software simulates a protest scenario and plays through operations such as crowd control strategies. The automation of patterns and pattern recognition anticipate potential operations in the future, they simulate government authority and security. What role do the citizens play here – the patriots and the protestors?

Stéphanie Lagarde
Stéphanie Lagarde graduated from Ecole Nationale des Arts Décoratifs, Paris (2008) and ENSAAMA Olivier de Serres, Paris (2004) and completed her studies with a six-month residency at the California College of Art, San Francisco with the LVMH Young Artists’ Award. She has exhibited in a number of exhibitions in France and internationally. In 2015-2016, she was a resident artist at the Jan van Eyck Academie in the Netherlands and at the Darling Foundry, Montreal, Canada.
