Forty-five years of marriage is an impressive anniversary. Barbara and Zdzisław could be proud of themselves – if it weren’t for the fact that Zdzisław left his wife for a lover eight years previously. But now they are back together again. Although Barbara claims Zdzisław would still be chasing skirts around Krakow if his legs would allow it. Despite past resentment and everyday problems with unpaid bills, the occupied bathroom and the rearranging of furniture, there exists an indefinable bond between the couple.
