Belma Baş
Belma Baş wurde 1969 im türkischen Ordu geboren und machte 1992 ihren Bachelor in englischer Literatur an der Universität von Istanbul. seit 1990 arbeitet sie als Übersetzerin für Literatur. Von 1991 bis 1998 war sie außerdem Managerin für internationale Beziehungen und Festivalorganisatorin für türkische Filminstitutionen und gehörte dem Komitee an, das türkische Filme für die Festivals in Cannes und Montreal vorschlug. ihr Debüt-Kurzfilm Poyraz wurde 2006 beim Festival de Cannes uraufgeführt, ihr Spielfilmdebüt Zefir gewann 2012 den Debütspielfilm-Wettbewerb des IFFF Dortmund+Köln.
