In the 1970s, disguised as a steward and unarmed, Dutch policeman Wim Bokkers worked as a security officer on KLM flights to Asia and the Middle East. This period, which lasted only a few months, he extensively documented with slides. The luxurious, carefree jetset world of the photo images contrasts sharply with the reason for his security work: the threat posed by international terrorism. 1974 offers a rare glimpse into the world of security; a world that today is inaccessible to documentary filmmakers.
