In 2009, Claudia Rommel began a video project which involved 143 »completely normal people« prepared to take a risk without knowing what the outcome would be. She then videoed the eponymous »Ventures« before processing them into black-and-white clips of one minute in length max. The idea led to over 100 integral video clips and an exceptionally entertaining survey about civil courage, poetic ability and mischief potential. Of these, the festival is showing Ventures 004 Herzflattern, 011 Flying Cap, 086 Waagnis and 081 Der Knopf mit dem Zopf. Ms Roemmel has made Venture 006 Wilder Tilsiter available to the International Women’s Film Festival as the trailer for 2012.
