On Saturday the 7 September, we will be showing the documentary Petra Kelly – ACT NOW! by Doris Metz in Dortmund as part of LETsDOK 2024.

Opinionated, internationally networked, unstoppable: Petra Kelly, founder, party and parliamentary group spokesperson of the Green Party, is shown in a new light in this film portrait. What impact do her actions still have today? What is her political legacy? How did she deal with misogynous hostility and how does this influence a young generation of women in politics? The tireless commitment of a ‘political animal’, who learnt her craft from both Robert Kennedy and her grandmother ‘Omi’, to global issues such as the international peace and anti-nuclear movements and support for the Lakota was forward-looking, if not visionary.
