»Pandora’s Box« at World Views Dortmund

In April, we will be screening Yeşim Ustaoğlu’s powerful feature film Pandora’s Box at the Weltsichten cinema. The film tells the story of Nusret, who lives on the Black Sea coast and whose mother suddenly disappears. Her adult grandchildren are confronted with their grandmother’s Alzheimer’s disease and their own life plans. Only her grandson Murat manages to connect with his grandmother on an emotional level, making closeness and shared memories possible once again.
The film was awarded the Golden Shell for Best Film at the 2008 San Sebastián International Film Festival.
