In March, we will be showing Petra Volpe’s impressive feature film Late Shift about nurse Floria (Leonie Benesch) and her work in the surgical ward of a Swiss hospital. The film celebrated its world premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival in 2025 and will compete for Switzerland as best international feature film at the 2026 Oscars.

After the screening, Sarah Borovik (chair of the staff council at Dortmund Hospital) will be our guest for a discussion.

Understanding, openness and coming into contact with people of different nationalities and origins are our motives for the series World Views. Once a month, we show entertaining as well as thoughtful films from different countries to make the prism through which we see the world even more colourful.

People with and without an international history, women with refugee experience, their families and anyone interested in excellent, often rarely shown international films directed by women are warmly invited to the programme.

Free admission.

Recommended for age 12 or older.

The film will be shown in its original version.
