»Familiar Places« at »ifs-Begegnung« Gender & Diversity with Director Mala Reinhardt

Mehrere Menschen in und an einem Pool.

We cordially invite you to the screening of Familiar Places by Mala Reinhardt!

Akosua is queer, Ghanaian-German, polyamorous, and wants to have a child. She moves between three cities: Berlin, where she mainly lives and is with Nana; Düsseldorf, where she grew up and where her parents live; and Accra, where she wants to build a life, potentially with her Ghanaian partner Isaac. For three years, her best friend and director of the film, Mala Reinhardt, accompanies Akosua on her journey and also appears in front of the camera herself.

The screening will be followed by a discussion with director Mala Reinhardt, moderated by Jules Bieber (curator of begehrt! IFFF Dortmund+Köln).
