Shevchenko, who once became known as the leader of FEMEN’s topless protests against patriarchal power structures, is now swapping protest for dialogue by inviting female priests, imams, rabbis, theologians and other female activists to open discussions. Together, they are exploring the divide between women’s rights and religious traditions, asking whether ancient religions can accept gender equality and whether feminism can find a place within the halls of religion.
