Kaddi Malika is doubtful about everything: even her selfawareness is crumbling. She thinks of the end of the world and a life in heaven with cinemas and shopping malls. Also, in the course of the mind game she plays – »What would be if?« – she mixes the foreign with the familiar and turns the past into present. We see her as a child visiting relatives in Burkina Faso, at home in Cologne and in an unspecified place where she seeks answers to the question of what she actually likes about herself.

Britta Wandaogo
Die 1965 in Unna geborene Dokumentarfilmerin Britta Wandaogo ist Kommunikationsdesignerin. Sie studierte von 1986 bis 1992 an der Bergischen Universität Wuppertal. 1994 entstand mit Den Affen töten ihr erster Dokumentarfilm – ebenfalls über ihren Bruder. An der Kunsthochschule für Medien Köln erwarb sie 1998 ein weiteres Diplom im Fach Audiovisuelle Medien. 2000 gründete sie mit wandaogo productions ihre eigene Produktionsfirma. 2003 wurde sie Gründungsmitglied des Dokumentarfilmnetzwerks LaDOC. Ihr vielfach ausgezeichnetes Werk ergänzen Musikvideos, Installationen und audiovisuelle Ausstellungsbeiträge. Nach Lehraufträgen an der Fachhochschule Düsseldorf in den Fachbereichen Design und Dokumentarfilm ist Britta Wandaogo dort seit 2010 Professorin für Audiovisuelle Medien.
