Tram depicts the surreal and sexual fantasies of a woman tram driver who lets herself be stimulated by the juddering and vibrating of her vehicle as well as the rhythm of the ticket-punching machine.

Michaela Pavlátová

Die 1961 in Prag geborene Michaela Pavlátová studierte Animation an der dortigen Akademie für Kunst, Architektur und Design. Ihr Animationsfilm Reci, reci, reci (Words, Words, Words, 1991) wurde für den Oscar nominiert, für Repete (2001) erhielt sie unter anderem den Goldenen Bären auf den Internationalen Filmfestspielen Berlin. 2006 animierte sie mit Illustrator Vratislav Hlavaty den Film Karneval der Tiere, 2008 brachte sie ihren Debütspielfilm Deti noci (Kinder der Nacht) heraus. Pavlátová lebt und arbeitet in Prag.
