Pwdre Ser: the rot of stars

The film particles in Pryce’s analogue film experiment move across the screen like stars over the horizon. The pictures, which seem like a magical substance, are given the name ›Pwdre ser‹, the Welsh name for a jelly-like substance which, according to local folklore, spreads out on the ground and leaves after a shower of stars. 16-mm handcraft meets cosmic magic. Charlotte Pryce realisiert seit 1986 experimentelle Filme, Fotografien und optische Objekte. Sie wurde in London geboren und absolvierte einen Bachelor der freien Künste an der Slade School of Art am University College London und einen Master in freien Künsten / Film an dem School of the Art Institut von Chicago. Ihre Filme wurden auf zahlreichen Festivals gezeigt, darunter Rotterdam, Oberhausen, Toronto, San Francisco, New York, Hongkong, Ann Arbor und London.
