9 January: »I know what is well developed – Super 8 workshop« with Dagie Brundert // Kunstsammlung NRW, Düsseldorf

Under the title »Nothing but Future«, an extensive program is currently taking place in the OPEN SPACE in the Kunstsammlung NRW in Düsseldorf on the central questions about the present and future of our planet. The program includes talks, readings, a poetry slam, many workshops and activities for all ages, as well as discussions about how the complex relationship between people and their environment is reflected in works of art.

Our curator Betty Schiel has put together a workshop and a film program as part of our cooperation with the Kunstsammlung NRW. Super-8 filmmaker Dagie Brundert will take on this workshop on filming and alternative film development.

1 black and white Super 8 cassette – filming together in town and getting naturally grown ingredients for the organic developer. What are the layers of film made of, what does light do, how do I act as a developer, how are we all connected?

No previous knowledge is required to participate. The workshop consists of two parts, which can, however, be booked individually.

Dagie Brundert studied graphics and experimental film design in Berlin and discovered her passion for Super 8 film in the late 1980s. Since then she has taught herself everything that is possible, animated what she can, soaks up and gives up. In addition, she has now become a specialist in biologically developed Super 8 films and photos!
