With a mixture of documentary interviews and an emotional plot, the young Ukrainian director Kateryna Gornostai succeeds in letting us immerse ourselves in the attitude towards life of 16-year-old Masha and her friends in this coming-of-age film.

Half-yearly program »Cinema World Views« Cologne
As the name suggests, »Kino Weltsichten« offers an international range of films from a wide variety of countries and cultures. Openness, understanding, tolerance and the joy of exchange across all differences are the motives for the cinema world views series.
The program is aimed primarily at women with and without a migration background, but is also open to anyone who enjoys watching good films. The conversations that follow the film screenings – with and without guests – are usually passionate, committed and always characterized by mutual respect.
Children’s films are shown twice a year. Admission is free for all events.
