Art and Motherhood: But How?

As part of the current collection presentation Body & Soul. Thinking, Feeling, Teeth Brushing the feminist art collective MATERNAL FANTASIES will be our guest. Based on family representations in works of art from the Ostwall Museum‘s collection, Magdalena Kallenberger and Maicyra Leao will discuss contemporary ideas of motherhood (s) with curator Nicole Grothe.

The experimental short film Suspended Time, on Caring (DE 2020, 12′) combines topics such as motherhood(s), representation, care work, art production and feminist theory in a poetic intergenerational dialogue. More information.
